Puppyhood: What to expect from a 8 week old puppy
People would say to you, "don't give me those puppy eyes." Well, I mean, they're absolutely right. Just don't forget about what a puppy really is. They urinate when excited, they teeth and bite abd they don't know their boundaries. 8 week old puppies are the same. When you get this bundle of fur, it's important not to get carried away with their cuteness. You should have their crate ready (for more see the article: 'Crate training a Labrador'. They should be taken to the toilet as soon as you bring them home. If they pee or poop outside (or wherever you'd prefer to potty train them) then normally puppies will go to the same place. During the first night of you and your puppy, it is important the crate is next to you because puppies will cry in the night for their mum; unless you have a scent blanket - that will ease the anxiousness. The most important thing is that you should never punish your puppy.
